Gratitude

Gratitude Journal Entry February 3-18

One of the tasks in our Flourishing Class was keeping a Gratitude journal. Beginning the second week of class, each day I wrote three things I am grateful for and why I feel this gratitude. Throughout the process, I noticed positive changes in my attitude, improvements in my self-esteem, and an appreciation for accomplishments both big and small. Getting enough sleep, for example, was something I was grateful for because enough rest allowed me to start each morning refreshed and energized which also improved my performance in class. The gratitude journal also encouraged me to be more open-minded and consider the bigger picture. Overall, having a gratitude journal reduced my stress and made me happier and more grateful.
